Arlene Myers, Lic. Ac.
Arlene Myers is a Licensed Acupuncturist who began her studies in Oriental medicine in 1984. She studied Shiatsu with Robbie Fian and became a practitioner and certified instructor. She is also a graduate of the Swedish Institute School of Massage in New York City. She continued her Oriental medicine studies graduating from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, Massachusetts. She opened her acupuncture office on Cape Cod in 1989 where she maintains a busy practice in Mashpee. In 1997 she began studies in Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) with Dr. Devi Nambudripad in Buena Park, California. She has been a Certified Acutonics Practitioner and Senior Teacher since 2004, working with Donna Carey in Taos, New Mexico. She offers classes to students of Acutonics pursuing certification as Acutonics practitioners.
Debra L. Avery
Debra Avery practices craniosacral therapy and sound healing. She is also a reiki master/teacher and a licensed massage therapist. She holds a master’s degree in Human Development. Debra was a consultant to children on the autism spectrum for 25 years. During that time it became increasingly clear to her that a more effective, and respectful, means of understanding and addressing the complex needs of these children was needed. To that end, in 2001, she began her training in energy medicine. Through the Upledger Institute, she has completed coursework and practicum in Craniosacral Therapy and the Healing from the Core curriculum. She continues her studies and practice of the Acutonics Healing System through the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing. Debra completed her reiki master/teacher training in 2004. She participates in, and sets up free reiki circles for parents and their children with special needs.

Debra offers craniosacral therapy and sound healing at Acupuncture and Associated Therapies. She specializes in working with women, young adults, and children with special needs and abilities.

Maxine Bornstein, RN, MS, HNC, CIH, Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner
Maxine Bornstein is a Master's prepared Registered Nurse, Certified Holistic Nurse, and Reiki MasterTeacher/Practitioner with over 3 decades of healing practice experience. She has been in private practice for over 10 years and sees additional clients in Boston, New York City, and Newport, RI.

In addition to over 25 years in Community Health and Public Health Nursing at local Visiting Nurse agencies, her background features extensive health care administration, including patient advocacy, standards of compliance and practice and geriatric specialization. For ten years, Maxine worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a Health Care Facility Inspector and Investigator for Health Care Quality inspecting nursing homes, hospitals, clinics and other health care agencies advocating for patients and clients. Maxine has also served as an assistant professor at Cape Cod Community College and Community College of Rhode Island instructing nursing students.

Maxine received her Master's degree in Nursing from Boston University and studied stress reduction techniques and "Relaxation Response" at the Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital Mind Body Clinic with Dr. Herbert Benson. She has also studied with traditional Reiki Master Teachers, Suzanne Hill, Libby Barnett and Maggie Chambers and Suzanne Nathan-Ariel. As a graduate of the Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing, Maxine developed additional spiritual guidance and skills from the founder Dr. Meredith Young-Sowers.

Perhaps, what makes Maxine an excellent healing practitioner is her compassionate listening skills and her love for her clients. Maxine provides her clients with a holistic nursing assessment, a Reiki session, usually lasting 45 minutes to an hour, interventions to take home and use and referrals if needed.

Kristen Couture, CNAETP, CNHP
Kristen Couture specializes in allergy elimination for the treatment of physical disorders and emotional challenges. Kristen attended New Hampshire College majoring in Business and started her career path in alternative medicine in 2000. Since that time Kristen has trained with a number of world renowned doctors, chiropractors and naturopaths, including Dr. Jacob Teitlebaum, author of 'From Fatigued to Fantastic,' and Dr. Devi Nambudripad, author of 'Say Goodbye to Illness.' She obtained her massage certification from Massage Institute of Cape Cod in 2001, and went on to complete studies with Certified Natural Health Professionals, becoming fluent in Iridology, Energy Kinesiology, Holistic Nutrition, Herbology, Children’s Health and Vaccinations, Bach and Bush Flower Remedies, and Holistic Natural Disaster Preparedness. In 2005, she was introduced to N.A.E.T. (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) and opened her first NAET clinic in Richmond, Virginia in 2006. Additional offices were opened in Los Angeles, CA, and Mashpee, MA. Her work appeared in V Magazine for Women, and her Richmond clinic was featured in the Richmond Times Dispatch. She has mentored a handful of other natural health practitioners that have become NAET certified and are now caring for her clients in Virginia. Now Kristen chooses to focus her efforts on the New England area, pursuing natural health and education for all of its’ residents. Kristen offers NAET Allergy Elimination, Energy Kinesiology, Bach Flower and Bush Flower Remedies, Ionic Footbaths, Holistic Nutrition Counselling, and Vaccination Tolerance Testing.
Mathilde Eliason, Lic.MT
Mathilde Eliason graduated from the School of Massage & Physical Therapy at the Orthopedic University Hospital in Frankfurt/Main, Germany in 1966. She worked at Cardio Vascular, Rheumatism/Arthritis and Respiratory Rehabilitation Center Kueppelsmuehle in Bad Orb, Germany. In 1968 she joined a private practice for Massage & Physical Therapy where patients ranged from age 2 to 82, and for 6 months was the head of the Physical Therapy at Muehlberg Hospital in Frankfurt/Main Germany. She practiced different modalities from Massage Therapy, Hydro Therapy, Electro Therapy, Exercise, and Stress reduction through breath-work. From 1970- 1980 she operated her own private practice. She received certification in Acupuncture-Massage, Energy Balancing, and Foot Reflexology and integrated these modalities as this was not accepted in the medical society at that time. After arriving in the USA in 1980 she received her first Massage Therapy license in Falmouth then Barnstable where she practiced for 14 years. She sponsored the first Lymphatic Drainage Course for New England in 1992 here on Cape Cod. In December 1993 received her certification for Complex Decongestive Therapy (CDT) from the Foeldi School in Germany. At this time she is only counseling Lymphedema Patients and seeing them for maintenance programs. Working for many years in Medical/Massage settings and equal years in Wellness & Relaxation, she recognizes the importance of wellness and prevention as the best medicine.
Lauren Fox, APRN
Lauren Fox, APRN, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Classical Homeopath, and educator, with two decades of experience in private practice. She has also been a homebirth midwife for 20 years. A graduate of New England Deaconess School of Nursing, Boston College, and Northeastern University, she has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds. She has studied and taught at the National Center for Homeopathy in Virginia, and continues to be a student of Classical Homeopathy with Master Homeopaths. Her wide-ranging skills in both conventional and complementary medicine allow her to provide individualized healthcare tailored to each patient, for an effective and lasting healing response.
Françoise (Francie) McDougall RN, BS, LMT
Françoise (Francie) McDougall RN, BS, LMT. Has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years, earning her nursing degree in 1983 from St. Petersburg College. Over the span of her career she has practiced nursing in various capacities and venues which include Critical care, Emergency/ Trauma, Neurological and Volunteer nursing. In 2002 Francie went into private practice taking her diverse nursing experience and applying it to help prevent dis-ease and bring balance into her clients lives.

Currently Francie combines her experience with integrated therapies for a holistic approach to health with the primary purpose of empowering her clients to achieve balance, health and wellness. Her unique combination of healing modalities include Lymphatic Drainage, Ortho-Bionomy®, Clinical Aromatherapy, and Yoga.

Jane Parhiala, Lic. M. Th.
Jane Parhiala has been a massage therapist on Cape Cod for 22 years. She has developed an eclectic approach using techniques from her training in Swedish and neuro-muscular massage therapy. Jane offers home visits for cancer patients who are receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She has office hours Friday and Saturday mornings at Acupuncture and Associated Therapies.
